Questions & Answers
What is the role of the General Resolutions Committee?
The resolutions committee is made up of NSGEU members; one from each region. They review each resolution and make sure that it is consistent with the NSGEU Constitution and By-Laws. Remember if your idea requires a change to the Constitution it must be submitted, by your Local, on the proper form, to the Constitution Committee.
Sometimes the Resolutions Committee receives more than one resolution about the same idea, and they will recommend one, or ask the submitting Local(s) to agree to put them together. The committee recommends to delegate at Convention concurrence or non-concurrence (support or non-support) for each resolution.
